Vikings come up short at Concordia

MEQUON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's hockey team dropped a 4-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association decision to Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday night at the Ozaukee Ice Arena.
The Falcons built a 3-0 lead before Lawrence (3-4-1, 2-3-1 NCHA) got on the board midway through the third period.
Miles McCue, who scored four goals in Lawrence's 8-0 victory on Friday night, scored at the 11:23 mark of the third off assists by Cory Checco and PJ Noonan to trim the lead to 3-1.
That was all Lawrence would get as Concordia added an empty-net goal to seal the victory.
Owen Carlson made 28 saves for Lawrence, and Gabe Rosek rebounded from a rough outing in the series opener to stop 31 shots. The teams finished with 32 shots apiece for the game.
Lawrence went 0-for-4 on the power play, and Concordia (3-3-0, 2-2-0) was 1-for-3.
