APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team dominated the overtime Tuesday but had to settle for a 1-1 nonconference tie with Marian University at the Community First Champion Center.
  Lawrence scored with 6:21 remaining in regulation to tie it, and the Vikings had some great scoring chances in the five-minute overtime but couldn't get another shot in the net.

Laney Martens scored at the 13:39 mark of the third to tie the game for the Vikings. Martens took a feed from
Evelyn Pryadkin, who collected her first collegiate point with the assist, and beat Marian goaltender Kayla Kolpitcke.Â
  In the 3-on-3 overtime, Lawrence fired seven shots on net, but Kolpitcke made several big saves to extend the game. Marian had just two shots in the overtime.Â
  The game went to a shootout, and Marian's Allie Kieffer scored in the third round give the Sabres the shootout win.

Sarah Dobrzynski was outstanding and made 25 saves for the Vikings. Kolpitcke stopped 36 shots for the Sabres. Lawrence had a 37-26 edge in shots for the game.
