MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's basketball team pulled away early Tuesday and romped to an 88-51 nonconference victory over Alverno College at Reiman Gymnasium.
  The Vikings scored 16 consecutive points during a run that spanned the first and second quarters to take control and never looked back. Lawrence (7-3) led by as many as 29 points in the first half and stretched that lead to as many as 44 points in the second half.
  Thirteen players scored for the Vikings, who were led by
Mallory Meyer with 16 points. Meyer added four rebounds and three assists.Â

Lydia Lueck was perfect from the floor as she went 5-for-5 from the field, including 3-for-3 from 3-point range, on her way to 13 points. Lueck grabbed three rebounds and picked up a pair of assists.Â

Nikola Kuzmanovic came off the bench to score 10 points for the Vikings, and
Sophie Morey added nine points.
Maggie Culver pulled down a team-best six rebounds for Lawrence.
  The Vikings shot 50 percent from the floor, including 35.3 percent from beyond the arc, and hit 81.8 percent from the foul line.
  Lawrence led 7-4 when it broke the game open over the final four minutes of the first quarter. Culver started the 16-0 run with a jumper, and Meyer scored the next six points for a 15-4 lead.
Libby Crandall hit a pair of jumpers to give the Vikings a 19-4 lead after one quarter.
  Morey started the second quarter with a jumper, and
Charlotte Brennan followed with a basket to complete the run and give Lawrence a 23-4 lead. The Vikings had their biggest lead of the first half after a pair of
Bailey Griffis free throws at 43-14 and had a 27-point advantage at the half.Â
  Lawrence went on another 16-0 run to start the second half. Meyer had a pair of baskets in that stretch, and Crandall and Lueck both hit 3-pointers to give Lawrence a 59-16 lead. The Vikings built their biggest lead at 65-21 after a pair of Morey free throws with 3:38 left in the third quarter.Â
  Alverno never got closer than 34 points after that.
  Kyla Jamerson paced Alverno (1-6) with 11 points, and Dionna Woodson had a game-high 11 rebounds.
