LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team gave up a goal in the final five minutes Saturday and dropped a 2-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association decision to Lake Forest College at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
  Lawrence had tied the game early in the third period, but the Foresters scored with just 4:29 remaining and withstood some quality Lawrence scoring chances in the final minutes to secure the win.
  Lake Forest took the lead on Abby Meyer's power-play goal at the 9:07 mark of the first, and the score stayed that way until the third period. Lake Forest finished 1-for-3 on the power play, and the Vikings were 0-for-3.
  Lawrence evened the score when
Lindsey Gulliksen scored off an assist from
Laney Martens at the 5:02 mark of the third.
  The game was still tied in the final minutes, and Lawrence had several quality scoring chances. The Vikings had a golden opportunity in the final seconds off a face-off, but Lawrence's shot was off the mark.Â

Sydney Seeley was superb in net as she stopped 34 shots. Chelsea Denniss made 20 saves for Lake Forest.
