Vikings shut out at Trine

    ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team fell 3-0 to Trine University on Friday in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Thunder Ice Arena.
    Trine broke a scoreless tie midway through the second period and added two more goals in the third for the final margin.
    Chasity Anderson made 23 saves for the Vikings (3-21-0, 2-13-0 NCHA). Casey Frank also made 23 saves to pick up the shutout for Trine (9-15-0, 5-10-0).
    Trine had a 26-23 edge in shots for the game. 
    The game was scoreless when Ellie Warhoftig scored at the 9:39 mark of the second to give Trine a 1-0 lead. The score stayed that way until the 3:03 mark of the third when Kailey Mleko scored for Trine. The Thunder added a goal by Payton Hans at the 13:54 mark to complete the scoring.
    The teams wrap up the series on Saturday afternoon.
