ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team saw Trine University break open a close game with three third-period goals Saturday in a 4-0 setback to the Thunder at Thunder Ice Arena.
  Trine led just 1-0 headed to the third period, but the Thunder scored twice in the first eight minutes to pull away. Trine added another goal later in the period for the final margin.   Â
  Lawrence (3-22-0, 2-14-0 NCHA) had a 27-26 edge in shots, but the Vikings couldn't get the puck past Trine goaltender Casey Frank. Frank made 27 saves for the Thunder (10-15-0, 6-10-0), and senior
Maeve Tallman stopped 26 shots for the Vikings.
  Lawrence had numerous chances but went 0-for-7 on the power play. Trine was 0-for-3 on the power play.
  The game was scoreless until Payton Hans scored for Trine at the 6:27 mark of the second. The score stayed that way until Ellie Warhoftig scored 4:42 into the third period. Hans scored again at the 7:29 mark for a 3-0 lead, and Hans scored at 13:28 for the final margin.
    Lawrence returns to action next weekend when the Vikings begin play in the NCHA playoffs.
