JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team hung with Midwest Conference champion Illinois College for most of the game Saturday, but the Blueboys pulled away late for a 86-67 victory at Sherman Gymnasium.
  Lawrence stayed within striking distance until the final five minutes when the Blueboys went on a 12-0 run to put the game away.

Adnan Sarancic led Lawrence (9-16, 6-10 MWC) with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Matthew Kaznikov added 17 points as he went 4-for-6 from 3-point range for the Vikings.Â

Elliot Jung chipped in with 10 points, four rebounds and three assists for Lawrence.
Johnny Semany picked up nine points, six reb ounds and three assists for the Vikings.
  Jake Mazrimas led Illinois College (23-2, 15-1) with 23 points.
  The Vikings jumped on Illinois College to start the game and Kaznikov's 3-pointer gave Lawrence a 13-3 lead five minutes into the game. Illinois College regrouped and tied the game at 17-17. The teams swapped the lead from that point, and the Blueboys led 43-38 at the half.
  A pair of Sarancic free throws early in the second half trimmed Illinois College's lead to 48-46 before the Blueboys slowly grew the advantage to 62-50 with 11:58 remaining.Â
  A Sarancic 3-pointer and a
Parker Prahl jumper quickly cut the margin back to 62-55. The Illinois College lead stayed around 10 points or less before the decisive 12-0 run sealed the victory for the Blueboys.
