Vikings shut out at Lake Forest

    LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team dropped an 8-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association decision on Saturday to Lake Forest College at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
    Lake Forest led just 1-0 after the opening period, but the Foresters scored five times in the second to pull away.
    Macy Gehrke scored a pair of goals for Lake Forest (10-7-3, 5-4-2 NCHA).
    Lawrence goaltender Chasity Anderson played the first two periods and made 45 saves. Charlie Prior played the third period and stopped 22 shots for the Vikings (3-17-0, 2-9-0). Hannah Turnage made 17 saves to record the shutout.
    The teams wrap up the series on Sunday afternoon in Appleton.
