Lawrence shut out by Manchester

    CLERMONT, Fla. -- The Lawrence University softball team was limited to four hits Monday in an 8-0 nonconference loss to Manchester University.
    The game was scoreless heading to the bottom of the fourth when Manchester scored four times to grab the advantage. Manchester added four more runs in the fifth to end the game via the run rule.
    Janessa Gonzalez, Mikayla Jeneske, Gillian Guerriero and Kourtney Mercer all collected hits for the Vikings (1-8).
    Kaitlyn Carr went the distance, striking out five with no walks, to get the win. Lizzy Angemi worked into the fifth for the Vikings and took the loss.
