GRINNELL, Iowa -- The Lawrence University baseball team dropped a 14-10 Midwest Conference decision to Grinnell College on Saturday at Pioneer Park.
  Lawrence led 10-5 heading to the bottom of the fifth, but the Pioneers scored once in the fifth, four times in the sixth and three times in the eighth.

Jacob Charon led Lawrence's 12-hit attack by going 2-for-5 with a homer, two runs scored and four runs batted in.
Parker Knoll went 2-for-4 with a homer, scored twice and drove in two runs for the Vikings.Â

Edan Perez went 3-for-5 for Lawrence, and
Zach Leslie was 2-for-4 and drove in a run.
  Grinnell led 5-1 after two innings, but the Vikings scored twice in the third on Charon's two-run homer.Â
  The Vikings grabbed the lead with six runs in the fourth. Knoll and Leslie both had run-scoring singles to tie the game, and Charon followed with a two-run single to give Lawrence a 7-5 edge.
Jeremy Peddle later drew a bases-loaded walk, and
Jake Land squeezed home a run to put the Vikings up 9-5.Â
  Lawrence pushed the lead to 10-5 on Knoll's lead-off homer in the fifth before Grinnell rallied.

Cam Ruth tossed 3.1 innings of relief and took the loss for Lawrence (4-8, 0-1 MWC). Cam Haaland threw three innings of hitless relief to get the win for Grinnell (5-11, 2-3).
  The series wraps up with a doubleheader on Sunday.
