GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Lawrence University baseball team pounded out 18 hits and got superlative pitching Sunday in a 12-6 Midwest Conference win over Knox College at Blodgett Field.
  Six of Lawrence's 18 hits were for extra bases as the Vikings hit three homers and piled up three doubles to complete the three-game series sweep.

Edan Perez went 3-for-4 with a homer, three runs batted in and two runs scored.
William Polanco homered and doubled as he went 3-for-6 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Vikings.

Zach Leslie also had three hits as he finished 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and a run driven in.
Parker Knoll continued his hot hitting for the Vikings as he went 2-for-5 with a homer, three RBIs and two runs scored.Â

Mitchell Sandleback went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored, and
Ben Gutowski was 2-for-3, walked three times and scored three runs for the Vikings.

Jordan Schaefer made the start and worked four innings, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out four and walking two.
Elden Santana got the win in relief with four strong innings. Santana allowed three runs on three hits, struck out seven and walked four.Â
  Lawrence (13-20, 9-12 MWC) jumped on Knox (7-28,1-19) in the opening inning when Sandleback singled and Perez blasted his team-leading ninth homer of the season for a 2-0 lead. Lawrence tacked on two more runs in the second with the help of a Knox error for a 4-1 lead.
  Leslie got the third inning started with a walk and Polanco later smacked a two-run homer to give Lawrence a 6-1 edge. Lawrence made it 7-1 in the top of the fourth when Perez singled, and Leslie followed with a run-scoring double.
  Knox cut into the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fourth, but the Vikings got those runs right back in the fifth. Gutowski started the inning with a walk, and Knoll blasted a two-run, two-out homer for a 9-3 advantage. Knox closed to 9-5 with two runs in the seventh, but the Vikings pulled away in the eighth.
  Polanco, Gutowski and
Jake Land all singled to start the eighth and load the bases. Knoll was hit by a pitch to force in one run, and Sandleback walked to drive in another. Perez's sacrifice fly scored Land to give Lawrence a 12-5 lead.
  Lawrence wraps up the regular season with three home games against the University of Chicago next weekend.Â
