BELOIT, Wis. -- The Lawrence University softball team dropped both ends of a Midwest Conference doubleheader Sunday at Beloit College.
The Bucs won a pitchers' duel 3-0 in the opener and took a 12-1 decision in five innings in the nightcap.
In the opener, the teams combined for just seven hits.
Mattigan Haller,
Mary Boyle and
Adrie Villa were the only Lawrence players to get a hit off Beloit's Samantha Friedrichso.Â
  Lawrence's
Lizzy Angemi had allowed just one hit going into the sixth but gave up a pair of hits in that inning before giving way to
Xiomara Rueda-Marshall. The Bucs scored all three of their runs in the sixth and finished with four hits for the game.
In the second game, Lawrence was limited to four hits by Beloit's Cora Aubert. Haller went 2-for-3, swiped a base and scored Lawrence's only run in the top of the first.
The Bucs scored nine times in the bottom half of the first and never looked back.
Lawrence finished the season 5-33 with a 1-15 mark in the league.
