APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team rallied Saturday but came up short in a 3-1 nonconference loss to Northland College at the Lawrence Invitational.
  Northland posted a 25-12, 25-19, 21-25, 31-29 win over the Vikings at Alexander Gymnasium.
  After dropping the first two sets, Lawrence bounced back to take the third set. The Vikings then built a 24-16 lead in the fourth set before Northland stormed back to win the next nine points. The teams went back and forth before Northland broke a 29-29 tie with two straight points to take the set and the match.

Aliana Butler-Gray paced Lawrence's attack with 11 kills, and she added three blocks and six digs. Setter
Cora Linos collected 21 assists and added nine kills and eight digs.

Hilirie McLaughlin and
Callista Lo added five kills apiece, and Lo picked up a team-high 20 digs.
Taylor Hughes added 16 digs, and
Bailey Nez had 15.
