Vikings drop road contest at St. Norbert

    DE PERE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team dropped a 7-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association decision to St. Norbert College on Friday at the Cornerstone Community Center.
    The game was scoreless after the first period, but St. Norbert scored three times in the first 3:44 of the second period to seize control of the contest. The Green Knights added two more goals in the final 5:53 of the second and led 5-0 heading to the third.
    Lauren Askenazy scored for the Vikings 1:28 into the third period off assists from Delaney Kingsland and Sofia Alvarez. 
    St. Norbert (15-4-1, 10-0-1 NCHA) tacked on two more goals in the third for the final margin.
    Sydney Seeley played the opening two periods for Lawrence (3-16-1, 2-9-0) and made 33 saves. Sarah Dobrzynski made 10 saves in the third period for the Vikings. Ashley Ommen made 19 saves for St. Norbert.
    The teams wrap up the series on Saturday at the Fox Cities Champion Center.
