Lawrence shut out by Pioneers

    APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 Midwest Conference decision to Grinnell College on Saturday at Alexander Gymnasium.
    The Pioneers defeated Lawrence 25-19, 25-22, 25-17. 
    Lawrence rookie hitter Hazel Cook finished with a team-best 13 kills and compiled a .303 hitting percentage for the afternoon. Margaret Hahnke added seven kills and collected a team-high 10 digs for the Vikings.
    Setter Cora Linos picked up 18 assists for the Vikings, and she added six digs. Aliana Butler-Gray and Cook also had six digs apiece, and Butler-Gray added four kills.
    Six different Lawrence players recorded an ace.
