Vikings end season with shutout loss

RIPON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University football team dropped a 41-0 Midwest Conference decision to Ripon College in the season finale on Saturday at Hopp Stadium.
In the renewal of Wisconsin's oldest college football rivalry, the Vikings struggled to get its offense going and were held to just 105 yards of total offense.
Lawrence quarterback Aidan Williams was 10-of-26 passing for 61 yards and two interceptions. Lawrence star receiver Alex Lippert was limited to four catches for 19 yards.
Ripon (4-6, 4-5 MWC) scored a pair of touchdowns in each of the opening two quarters to build a 27-0 lead at the half. The Red Hawks tacked on a touchdown in the third quarter and another in the fourth.
The Lawrence defense got a stellar effort from linebacker Jon Pasquarello, who made a game-high 18 tackles, including 11 solo stops and 1.0 tackles for loss.
Ripon retains possession of the Doehling Heselton Memorial Trophy, which goes to the winner of the game. The rivalry between the two schools started in 1893.
