MENOMONIE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's hockey team dropped a 7-0 nonconference decision to UW-Stout on Saturday at the Fanetti Community Center.
  Stout scored three times in both the first and second periods to pull away early.Â
  Lawrence (1-1-0) actually outshot the Blue Devils (1-0-0) 33-30 for the game, but the Vikings were 0-for-6 on the power play.Â

Nolan Mahaffey made the start in goal, played the opening 31 minutes and made 11 saves.
Ken Turelli finished the game for the Vikings and had 12 saves. Tyler Masternak made 33 saves for Stout to pick up the shutout.
