Lawrence edged by Pioneers

    APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 Midwest Conference decision to Grinnell College on Saturday at Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
    The Pioneers (8-5-5, 4-2-2 MWC) broke open a tie game with a pair of goals in the final 17 minutes.
    Lawrence (2-11-4, 1-5-2) tied the game at 1-1 in the 23rd minute when Daito Sho scored. Sho took a pass from Rodrigo Angulo and found the back of the net at the 22:54 mark.
    The score stayed that way until Oliver Northing scored for Grinnell at 73:29 for a 2-1 edge. The Pioneers added another goal less than two minutes later for the final margin.
    Ethan Uribe was outstanding in net for the Vikings as he made nine saves in the season finale. Jayson Kunkel made two saves for Grinnell.
