GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's basketball team saw its halftime lead disappear in the third quarter Wednesday, and Knox College went on to a 74-58 Midwest Conference win over the Vikings at Memorial Gymnasium.
    Lawrence led 31-25 at the half, but Knox scored 29 points in the third quarter to seize control of the game. Knox went 10-for-16 from the floor in the decisive third quarter while Lawrence hit just 4-of-16 shots in the third.
    The Prairie Fire led 54-43 heading to the fourth quarter and quickly pushed the lead to 60-43. Lawrence never got closer than 16 points the rest of the way, and Knox led by as many as 25.
    
Sophie Morey led Lawrence (5-3, 2-1 MWC) with 12 points, and she pulled down a game-high nine rebounds. 
Mallory Meyer added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Vikings, but Knox limited 
Charlotte Brennan to seven points. 
    
Bailey Griffis came off the bench late for the Vikings and scored eight points in just four minutes. Griffis went 3-for-3 from the floor, including 2-for-2 from 3-point range. 
    Bria Medina paced Knox (4-4, 1-1) with 16 points and was one of four Knox players in double figures.
