MOUNT VERNON, Iowa -- The Lawrence University women's basketball team rallied in the fourth quarter Saturday to post a 62-60 Midwest Conference victory over Cornell College at the Small Athletic Center.
  Lawrence trailed by five points entering the final quarter, but the Vikings outscored Cornell 25-18 over the final 10 minutes to grab the victory. The win keeps Lawrence (14-10, 8-7 MWC) alive in the race for a Midwest Conference Tournament berth.

Charlotte Brennan poured in 23 points for the Vikings as she hit 7-of-12 shots from the floor.
Maggie Culver posted another double-double for Lawrence as she scored 13 points and pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds.
Mallory Meyer added nine points and picked up three rebounds for Lawrence.
  The Vikings trailed by six early in the fourth quarter when Brennan hit a 3-pointer to trim the margin to 46-43. Lawrence was still down one after a pair of Culver free throws when Brennan's layup gave the Vikings a 52-51 lead with 3:34 left.
  The teams then traded the lead three times before a pair of Brennan free throws tied the game at 56-56 with 2:02 left. Following a Cornell miss, Brennan was fouled and made a pair of free throws for a 58-56 lead with 1:22 remaining.
  Cornell (8-15, 6-8) tied it at 59-59 on Mia Murray's layup with 46 seconds left.
  Lawrence answered as Culver scored on a layup with 18 seconds left for a 61-59 edge. Murray was then fouled with seven seconds left, but made just one free throw to cut the lead to one.
  The Rams fouled Meyer, who hit one free throw with five seconds left for a 62-60 edge. A'Ryn Jackson missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer that would have won it for Cornell.
  Kali March led Cornell with 18 points.
