APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team jumped on Marian University early Saturday and never let up in a 4-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association victory at the Champion Center.
  Lawrence scored five minutes into the game, tacked on a third-period goal and sealed the victory late. The Vikings clinched a berth in the NCHA Slaats Cup playoffs and will travel to top-seed Adrian College for a quarterfinal series next weekend.
  The Vikings (4-20-1, 3-13-0 NCHA) got a pair of goals from
Elsie Salerno, and
Evelyn Pryadkin and
Lauren Moravchik picked up two assists apiece.Â
  Lawrence grabbed the lead at the 5:10 mark of the opening period when Salerno scored off a pass from Moravchik for a 1-0 advantage.Â
  The score stayed that way until later in the third period. After Marian's Jadyn Gorski got sent off for high sticking at the 12:18 mark, the Vikings cashed in on the power play. Salerno scored off assists from
Emma Perry and Moravchik for a 2-0 lead at the 13:25 mark.Â
  Lawrence sealed the win when
Delaney Kingsland scored an empty-netter off an assist by Pryadkin with 2:23 remaining. Lawrence made it 4-0 when
Laney Martens scored another empty-net goal off a pass from Pryadkin with 1:46 remaining.Â

Sarah Dobrzynski picked up her second shutout of the season for the Vikings. She stopped all 26 shots she faced. Kayla Kolpitcke made 23 saves for Marian (8-15-1, 6-10-1).
