APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team dropped a 74-46 Midwest Conference decision to Ripon College in the season finale at Alexander Gymnasium.
  Ripon pulled away late in the first half, withstood a Lawrence challenge in the second half and stretched the lead in the final minutes.
  Rookie forward
Casey Schoenecker led Lawrence (5-20, 3-13 MWC) with a double-double of 13 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.Â

Jake Fisher added nine points and four rebounds, and
Nicolas Manzanera chipped in with eight points and three rebounds.Â
  Cade Tackmier and Kolby Williams scored 20 points apiece for Ripon (11-14, 9-7).
  The game was tight in the opening half, and Ripon led 22-21 after a layup from Schoenecker with 6:12 remaining. The Red Hawks finished the first half on a 17-2 run to lead 39-23 at the break.
  Lawrence scored the first eight points of the second half to close to 39-31. The Vikings stayed within reach and were down 51-42 with 7:39 remaining. Ripon then closed the game on a 23-4 run.
