Culver, Brennan earn All-MWC basketball honors

APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University women's basketball standouts Maggie Culver and Charlotte Brennan have been chosen for the All-Midwest Conference team in a vote of league coaches.
Culver (Winfield, Ill./St. Francis) and Brennan (Firestone, Colo./Mead) were both selected for the second team.
Culver, a junior forward, was chosen for the all-conference team for the first time. In Midwest Conference games, Culver averaged 12.8 points per contest, which ranked ninth in the league. She was fourth in the league in rebounding at 7.9 per contest. Culver also ranked fifth in the conference in free throw shooting at 77.1 percent and was 20th at 1.4 steals per game.
One of the league toughest players, Culver scored a career-high 21 points vs. Lake Forest on Feb. 6 and matched her career high with 14 rebounds at Cornell on Feb. 10.
On the season, Culver averaged 11.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest.
A first-year guard, Brennan ran the point for the Vikings. Brennan finished 18th in the conference in scoring at 10.5 points per game. She led conference at 4.1 assists per game and was second in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.2 per game. She also ranked second in the conference in free throw shooting at 81.0 percent.
Brennan scored a career-high 23 points at Cornell on Feb. 10 and handed out a career-best 10 assists vs. Monmouth on Jan. 20.
Brennan averaged 10.4 points per game on the season while shooting 46.5 percent from the floor. She averaged 3.7 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest.
Culver and Brennan are Lawrence's first all-conference selections since Kenya Earl was chosen in 2022. This also marks the first time that Lawrence has had multiple all-conference selections since Kelly Mulcahy, Jenny Stoner and Carrie Van Groll were chosen in 2007.
Culver and Brennan were key factors in helping the Vikings to a 15-11 record and their first Midwest Conference Tournament appearance since 2007. Lawrence's 15 victories were the most in a season since the Vikings won 19 games in 2005-06.
