RANTOUL, Ill. -- The Lawrence University baseball team used multiple big innings and rode the pitching of
Quinn Berglin Saturday in a 16-6
nonconference win over Wisconsin Lutheran College at the Rantoul Sports Complex.
  Lawrence homered twice and rapped out five extra-base hits while Berglin allowed just one hit over five innings to pick up the victory.

William Polanco went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, scored four runs and drove in three for Lawrence (3-1).
Jacob Charon also went 3-for-4 with a triple, scored four runs and drove in three for the Vikings.
Nick Heerde went 2-for-4 and drove in four runs, and
Parker Knoll was 2-for-4 with a homer, three runs scored and two runs batted in.

Berglin allowed only a third-inning single and one earned run over the first five innings. He struck out eight and walked two.Â
  Lawrence jumped on Wisconsin Lutheran starter Matt Brissette with five runs in the opening inning. Charon's single scored the game's first run and an error allowed another run to score for a 2-0 edge. Polanco singled to score Charon, and
Heerde's two-run single made it 5-0.
  Wisconsin Lutheran (0-4) scored three times in the top of the third, but the Vikings got five in the bottom half of the inning. Knoll led off the third with a homer, and the Vikings then loaded the bases. CJ
Filipek delivered a three-run double for a 9-3 lead. Tate
Hartlaub later singled to score
Filipek for a 10-3 edge.
  Lawrence tacked on two more in the fourth on
Heerde's two-run single for a 12-3 lead. Wisconsin Lutheran got two runs in the sixth and one more in the seventh to close to 12-6.Â
  The Vikings ended the game on the 10-run rule with four runs in the bottom of the seventh. After a two-out walk to
Edan Perez, Knoll singled to score Perez. Charon then singled to score Knoll for a 14-6 lead.
Polanco then smashed his first homer of the season, a two-run blast, to end the game.
