CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped its season opener on Friday with a 3-0 nonconference loss to Carleton College at the Ratner Athletics Center.
  Carleton topped the Vikings 25-15, 25-21, 25-22. The match was part of the Rosalie Resch Invitational at the University of Chicago.

Margaret Hahnke led the Vikings with 11 kills, and fellow first-year player
Hazel Cook picked up eight kills.Â

Cora Linos picked up 21 assists for the Vikings, and
Daphne Piotrowski had a team-high 11 digs.
Mikala Seymour led the Vikings with three blocks, and
Hilirie McLaughlin and Hahnke had two blocks apiece.
