Lawrence takes opening set before Duhawks rally

    CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a 3-1 nonconference decision on Saturday to Loras College at the Ratner Athletics Center.
    Loras won the match 25-27, 25-22, 25-16, 25-18. The match was part of the Rosalie Resch Invitational at the University of Chicago.
    The Vikings were led by the 1-2 punch of rookies Margaret Hahnke and Hazel Cook. Hahnke pilled up a match-high 17 kills while hitting at a .306 clip and added eight digs and a block. Cook added 15 kills to go with 10 digs and a block.
    Cora Linos piled up 33 assists for the Vikings and picked up five digs. Daphne Piotrowski led Lawrence with 14 digs, and Aliana Butler-Gray had seven digs, three kills and two aces.
