HASTINGS, Minn. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team played the first outdoor game in program history Saturday, but the Vikings came up just short in a 2-1 nonconference loss to St. Catherine University.
  The Wildcats took the lead midway through the second period and then held Lawrence off the board for the rest of the contest. The game was played at Scheel's Rink at the United Heroes League.
  St. Catherine took a 1-0 lead just 4:34 into the game when Ana Myers scored off a pass from Paige Fasching.Â
  It didn't take long for the Vikings to tie it when
Sena Hasegawa scored her first collegiate goal. The Vikings were killing off a penalty when Hasegawa knocked away a pass and beat a Wildcat to the puck. Hasegawa scored the short-hander for the Vikings at the 8:35 mark to tie the game at 1-1.
  The Wildcats took the lead back midway through the second period with a power-play goal. Samantha Bogen scored off a pass from Sarah Wangen at the 9:22 mark to give St. Catherine a 2-1 advantage. The Wildcats went 1-for-4 on the power play and Lawrence was 0-for-5.

Sarah Dobrzynski made 32 saves for the Vikings, and Addie Oettinger stopped 14 shots for St. Catherine.
