Lawrence can't hold off seventh-ranked Thunder

    ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Lawrence University men's hockey team scored first Saturday at Thunder Ice Arena, but No. 7 Trine University rallied for a 4-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association victory.
    Robby Pustulka got Lawrence (3-11-2, 2-7-1 NCHA) on the board midway through the opening period. Pustulka scored off assists from Jack Michels and Cory Checco at the 11:56 mark for a 1-0 advantage.
    Trine tied the game on Tyler Blanchard's goal at the 4:05 mark of the second and then took the lead on Tim Organ's goal at the 16:46 mark. Trine made it 3-0 on Noah Marino's goal at the 11:56 mark of the third and Marino then added an empty-net goal with 17 seconds left to complete the scoring.
    Nolan Mahaffey made 24 saves for the Vikings, and Kyle Kozma stopped 20 shots for Trine (14-2-1, 8-1-1).
