Vikings settle for series split with Trine

    APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team settled for a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association series split after a 3-0 loss to Trine University at the Champion Center on Saturday.
    Trine (6-9-2, 3-5-2 NCHA) scored late in the first and added a pair of insurance goals in the third period.
    Kailey Mleko scored with 2:46 left in the opening period to break a scoreless tie. Dorka Gengeliczky then scored in the opening minute of the third period, and Mleko added a second goal midway through the third to complete the scoring.
    Sarah Dobrzynski made 19 saves for Lawrence (6-10-1, 3-5-1), and Annie Kindseth had 25 saves to record the shutout.
    Lawrence, which won the series opener 3-2 on Friday night, had a 25-22 edge in shots for the game.
