Lawrence can't get past Pointers

    WHITEWATER, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a 3-1 nonconference decision to UW-Stevens Point on Saturday at the UW-Whitewater Invitational.
    Stevens Point (13-8) topped the Vikings 25-20, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19.
    Rookie Audrey Weier led the Vikings' attack with 15 kills and a .303 hitting percentage. Annaliesse Schmall added 12 kills for Lawrence (16-9). Hazel Cook had a double-double for the Vikings with 10 kills and 11 digs. 
    Setter Ally Corrente handed out 39 assists, collected nine digs and picked up a pair of service aces. Lawrence posted 16 aces for the match with Cook lead the team with four, Weier picking up three and Amanda Vlkovic and Aria Wessel had two apiece.
    Wessel and Alayna Geiser had 15 digs apiece, and Geiser added five kills.
