WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 nonconference tie with Maranatha Baptist University on Tuesday.
  Lawrence (0-8-4) took an early 1-0 lead, but the Sabercats scored with 16 minutes remaining and hung on for the tie.

Leo DeCorte took a pass from
Quinn O'Reilly and beat Maranatha goalkeeper Joe Shank for a goal at the 20:32 mark and a 1-0 Lawrence lead. The score stayed that way until Pedro Ribeiro scored with 16:03 remaining in the contest.

Nason Lancina made the start and played the opening 35 minutes.
Ryan Bhimji came on and played the final 55 minutes and made six saves. Shank finished with seven saves for Maranatha (5-3-2).
  Lawrence posted a 15-12 edge in shots for the match.
