Nico Manzanera, Co-President of SAAC and Senior Student-Athlete on the Men's Basketball team, expressed the significance of this annual event, noting that it's a unique opportunity for all athletes to unite in support of the broader community around Appleton and the Fox Cities. The challenge not only aims to surpass previous years' donations but also emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community.
Â
In 2024, the Lawrence University SAAC successfully collected 1,692 canned food items and $1,009, highlighting the community's generosity and commitment. This year, they aim to exceed those numbers to further support St. Joseph's Food Pantry.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in the Giving Challenge and help make a positive impact in the community. Whether through attending events, donating canned goods, or contributing funds, your involvement plays a crucial role in the success of this charitable endeavor.
