Box Score GALESBURG, Ill. — Lawrence University (17-10, 2-2 Midwest) secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Knox College (3-21, 1-2 Midwest) on Friday evening at Memorial Gym, with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-17. Lawrence achieved a strong offensive performance, hitting .394 in the first set.

Lawrence began the first set with a service error, allowing Knox to gain an early lead. Elle Haddon contributed significantly for Knox with two early kills, but Lawrence responded with a series of effective plays. Audrey Weier and Chania Tinch each delivered key kills, helping Lawrence tie the score at 5-5. A pivotal moment came as Lawrence went on a 7-0 run, extending their lead from 7-8 to 14-8, including a service ace by Aria Wessel. Weier and Alayna Geiser showcased strong offensive efforts, contributing multiple kills as Lawrence pulled away. The set concluded with a kill by Britta Josephson, securing a decisive 25-14 victory for the team from Appleton in the first set.

Lawrence secured a 25-20 victory in the second set against Knox, demonstrating solid teamwork and effective play. Weier contributed significantly, notching a service ace and two kills during a 5-0 run that gave Lawrence a 7-5 lead. Ally Corrente also played a pivotal role, assisting on multiple kills and delivering a crucial service ace that expanded Lawrence's advantage. Despite a few service errors from both teams, Lawrence maintained control, with Zoe Siegel's final kill, set up by Wessel, sealing the set.

Lawrence secured a decisive victory in the third set with a 25-17 win over Knox, largely driven by Weier's strong performance. Weier contributed multiple kills, including an early 5-1 lead with three kills assisted by Corrente. Lawrence capitalized on Knox's errors, including service and attack errors, to extend their lead. The set concluded with a kill by Tinch, assisted by Corrente, sealing the win for the Vikings.
