Lawrence can't keep pace with Knox

GALESBURG, Ill. — Lawrence Ā fell to Knox College, 4-0, on Saturday at Jorge Prats Field, with Knox scoring all four goals in the second half.

Knox College dominated the first half with persistent offensive pressure, evidenced by 11 shots, but the Lawrence defense, anchored by goalkeeper Ryan Bhimji, kept the home team scoreless. Bhimji's key save in the 8th minute on a shot by Kestervens Dera helped maintain the stalemate. Despite Knox's three corner kicks, Lawrence held firm, ending the period without conceding a goal. The score remained 0-0 at the break.

Lawrence struggled to contain Knox's offense in the second half, resulting in a 4-0 scoreline at the end of the match. Tomás Ramos opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, later assisting Ethan Thomas on two subsequent goals. Lawrence's defense faced pressure throughout, with Bhimji making crucial saves on shots in the 64th and 68th minutes, but the team was unable to capitalize offensively, being caught offside twice during the half.
