Lawrence opened the first half assertively with a goal by
Hannah Kalt in the 4th minute, assisted by
Elena Hartung, giving them an early lead over Illinois College. At the 16th minute,
Kylie Melonis extended Lawrence's advantage with another goal, bringing the score to 2-0. Illinois College attempted to respond with several shots, but
Ally Littau made crucial saves, preserving the visitors' lead. The half concluded with Lawrence ahead 2-0.
Lawrence extended their lead in the second half with a decisive goal by
Renate Hramiec in the 67th minute, bringing the score to 3-0. Littau played a crucial role in maintaining the advantage by saving two shots, first from Abbi Renwick and later from Aliza Rodriguez. The game ended with the Vikings holding a commanding 3-0 victory.
