APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team rallied Wednesday for a 3-2 Midwest Conference victory over Ripon College in front of a packed house at Alexander Gymnasium.

Lawrence setter Ally Corrente had a match-high 44 assists and added seven digs. Libero Aria Wessel posted a match-high 16 digs for the Vikings, and she added four aces.
After Ripon pulled out to a 2-1 lead, Lawrence won a hard-fought fourth set to set up a race to 15 points in the decisive fifth set.
The Vikings jumped out to an 8-3 lead in the set with a Cook kill finishing that run. After Ripon cut the lead to 8-4, a service error and an attack error by the Red Hawks gave Lawrence a 10-4 edge. Ripon managed to close the margin to 11-7, but Cook answered with a kill for a five-point advantage.
Tinch blasted a kill off a Ripon player for a 13-7 lead before Ripon countered with a kill from Makenna Harren.
After Harren's next attack went wide, the Vikings had 14-8 lead and a match point. Lawrence's Britta Josephson subbed into the match and delivered her lone ace of the night to clinch the victory, the Vikings' second consecutive win over Ripon.
