APPLETON, Wis. ā LawrenceĀ fell to Adrian College 8ā1, at home. Lawrence's lone goal came in the first period, but Adrian's consistent offense, with 55 total shots, dominated the game.
The first period began with Carly Carpenter and
Meg Landman facing off, with the hosts gaining early possession. Emma Simon of Adrian opened the scoring at 11:59 with an even-strength goal, assisted by Paige Pomerleau and Riley Johnson. Lawrence quickly responded with
Kate Boberg leveling the score, assisted by
Ashley Slupe at 9:59. Adrian regained the lead at 5:39 when Johnson found the net, assisted again by Pomerleau and Simon. Johnson further extended the visitors' advantage at 3:40 with her second goal of the period, assisted by Sophia LaColla, concluding the period with a 3ā1 lead for Adrian.
During the second period, Adrian extended their lead over Lawrence with two additional goals. Julia Richardson scored at 12:22 with an unassisted effort, securing her first goal of the season.
