The match between Lawrence and Illinois College began with Lawrence's
Ally Littau and Illinois College's Stella Gonzalez in goal. The first half saw Illinois College take an early offensive stance with multiple corner kicks and shots, including a shot by McKenzie Murray at 6:46 that went out left. Lawrence's defense held strong, with Littau making a critical save on Olivia Hulsey's shot in the 28th minute.
