APPLETON, Wis. — Lawrence University (0-12-0, 0-8-0) fell to Aurora University (4-8-0, 2-6-0), 3–2, at home on Saturday night. Despite the Vikings' strong faceoff performance, winning 63% of draws, the Spartans secured the victory with a last-period goal.
Lawrence began the first period with control, winning multiple faceoffs and maintaining possession early on. Despite their efforts, Aurora's Courtney Docktor scored at 17:48, assisted by Emiliana Cassillo and Payton Dykstra, giving the Spartans the lead. The Vikings responded by winning faceoffs and generating shots, including an attempt by
Sullivan Gillis, but Aurora's goalie, Macy Blooming, made the save. Lawrence earned a power-play opportunity midway through the period but was unable to capitalize.
