Lawrence shut out by Falcons

    APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team dropped a 5-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association decision to Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday at the Champion Center.
    The Falcons scored once in the opening period and added another goal in the second. Concordia then sealed the victory with three goals in the final period.
    Concordia (15-5-1, 10-3-1 NCHA) went 1-for-3 on the power play and posted a 36-15 edge in shots. Lawrence went 0-for-4 on the power play. 
    Gretchen Paaverud made 15 saves to notch the shutout. Sydney Seeley stopped 31 shots for the Vikings (6-12-3, 3-8-3).
