DE PERE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's hockey team fell 8-2 to No. 6 St. Norbert College on Saturday in the final Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game of the regular season.
  The Green Knights scored four times in the first period and added four more goals in the second to pull away.
  Lawrence (7-15-2, 6-11-1 NCHA) got an early goal from
Max Wigfield off a pass from
Dylan Marty to tie the game at 1-1 at the 3:32 mark of the first. The Green Knights scored just seven seconds later and added two more goals to lead 4-1 heading to the second period.
  St. Norbert (20-5-0, 15-3-0) then scored three times in the first 4:32 of the second. Lawrence's
Cory Checco scored off assists from
Jeb Dee and Jaco Jakusz at the 5:08 mark of the second.

Ken Turelli made the start in net for the Vikings and stopped 16 shots through the first 24:32.
Nolan Mahaffey made 23 saves in relief for Lawrence.Â
  Lawrence finished eighth in the league standings and will face top seed Aurora University in the Harris Cup playoffs. The teams play the two-game quarterfinal series next Friday and Saturday in Illinois.
