Lawrence drops road game to Spartans

    DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team dropped a 3-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association decision to the University of Dubuque on Saturday at ImOn Arena.
    The Spartans broke a 1-1 tie with a pair of third-period goals.
    Lawrence (6-13-4, 3-9-4 NCHA) rallied from a 1-0 deficit to tie the game in the second period. Lauren Askenazy scored at the 11:24 mark with assists going to Meg Landman and Lizzy Jorgensen to tie the score.
    Dubuque (6-14-2, 2-12-2) scored 5:23 into the third period and added an insurance goal at the 11:46 mark. The Vikings pulled goaltender Sarah Dobrzynski in the final three minutes but couldn't pull any closer.
    Dobrzynski stopped 19 shots for the Vikings, and Savannah Wuitschick made 20 saves for Dubuque.
