FOX CROSSING, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team used strong singles play Sunday to grab a 4-3 nonconference victory over Edgewood College at the Ogden YMCA Tennis Center.
  Lawrence won four of the six singles matches to earn the victory.
  The Vikings were in a 1-0 hole after Edgewood won the doubles points, but Lawrence quickly bounced back.

Clara Hills split the opening two sets with Evelyn Taylor. Hills won the first set 6-1, but Taylor took the second set 6-2 to force a super-tiebreaker. Hills jumped to early lead in the tiebreaker and went on to a 10-8 victory to claim the match.
  Lawrence's
Anna Vanden Acker won in straight sets over Marissa Light at No. 2. Vanden Acker won the opening set 6-2 and then won a long second set 6-4 to close out the match.

Maya Alberts took a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5 over Christina Ekkela, and Lawrence's
Sky Shinohara clinched the victory for Lawrence with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Sarah Emory at No. 6.
  Lawrence, which is now 7-10 on the season, knocked off an Edgewood team that entered the day with a gaudy 13-3 record.
