GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The Lawrence University softball team lost a pair of games on Saturday in a nonconference doubleheader with Greenville University.Â
  Greenville won the opener 5-1 and took the second game 14-5 in six innings.
  In the first game, Greenville (4-0) broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the fourth and tacked on an insurance run in the fifth. The Vikings were limited to four hits over seven innings. Lawrence scored its lone run in the third when
Mattigan Haller doubled to score
Khayla Santiago, who had started the inning with a single.

Avery Chilson allowed five runs on seven hits over five innings and took the loss. She struck out one and walked five.
  In the nightcap, Greenville jumped on the Vikings early with two runs in both the first and second innings and then added five more in the third to pull away.Â
  The Vikings scored five times on just five hits. Haller blasted a three-run homer in the fifth inning,
Sajel Stewart-Verna had a run-scoring single in the second, and
Zoe Doherty added an RBI double in the same inning.

Kylan Arndt allowed four runs in the opening two innings and took the loss. She struck out two and walked one.
  Lawrence returns to action on Sunday with a pair of games at Eureka College.
