APPLETON, Wis. --
Brody Herr scored seven goals Wednesday to lead the Lawrence University men's lacrosse team to an 18-7 Northern Athletics College Conference victory over Marian University on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
  Herr led a Lawrence attack that posted a 59-21 advantage in shots, and a 51-25 edge in ground balls.Â
  Herr had seven goals and an assist, and
Iori Yamada and
Peter Kelly had three goals apiece for the Vikings.
Robbie Spielmann had five assists and a goal for the Vikings.
Gavin Reiter made two saves in the opening half to pick up the win for Lawrence (5-11, 3-8 NACC).Â
  Herr scored three consecutive goals to turn an early 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 lead.
Emmett Eischens and Kelly then added goals for Lawrence, and the Vikings led 5-1 after the opening quarter. Lawrence then put together a string of seven consecutive goals, including two by Herr and two from Yamada, to build a 12-4 lead at the half.
  Two goals from Herr, two by Kelly and another Yamada opened the third quarter as the Vikings cruised to the win.Â
  Lawrence finished its inaugural season by picking up a pair of conference wins in its last two games.
