WHEATON, Ill. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team rallied for a 3-1 nonconference victory Friday over Wheaton College at the Marilyn Scribner Invitational.
  Lawrence defeated the Thunder 24-26, 25-15, 25-22, 25-18 at King Arena.
  After dropping a tight opening set, Lawrence got it rolling by hitting .350 in the second set and then closed out the match by hitting .435 in the fourth set. The Vikings limited Wheaton to a .135 hitting percentage for the match.
  Lawrence, which improved to 11-2, got a balanced attack with four players collecting at least nine kills.
Margaret Hahnke led the way for Lawrence with a match-high 15 kills and a match-high five aces to go with 13 digs.

Hazel Cook added 11 kills for the Vikings, and
Alayna Geiser and
Audrey Weier had nine kills apiece.Â

Ally Corrente picked up 39 assists to go with two aces and nine digs. LiberoÂ
Aria Wessel had a match-high 14 digs, and Geiser picked up 10.
  This is Lawrence's first win over Wheaton since the 2013 season and only the second time the Vikings have defeated the Thunder in a series that stretches back to 1988. Lawrence handed the Thunder just its second loss on the season as Wheaton, which was receiving votes in the latest AVCA Top 25 poll, dropped to 9-2.
  Lawrence wraps up the tournament on Saturday with two more matches.Â
