ANGOLA, Ind. — Lawrence University (2-15-0, 2-8-0) secured a 2–1 victory over Trine University (5-10-2, 1-8-1) on Saturday at the Trine Thunder Ice Arena. Lawrence capitalized on the power play, scoring both goals in the second period.
Lawrence began the first period with
Sarah Dobrzynski in goal, facing early pressure from the Thunder. Dobrzynski made key saves to deny multiple attempts, including those by Chloe Downey and Hannah Lambers. The Vikings gained control with
Emma Perry winning several faceoffs, which allowed opportunities for
Kate Holtz and
Ashley Slupe, although their shots were stopped by Trine's Abby Hargrave-Thomas.
As the period progressed, Lawrence maintained offensive pressure with additional shots from
