RIPON, Wis. — The Lawrence University women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance Sunday, earning a 6-1 victory over Ripon College on the road.
The Vikings set the tone in doubles play, sweeping all three completed matches to take an early advantage. Clara Hills and Logan Kane led the way with a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles, while Tess McGlenn and Misora Sky Shinohara teamed up for a 6-2 victory at No. 2. Arisa McCullough and Madelena Priest completed the sweep with a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles.
Lawrence carried that momentum into singles competition, winning five of the six matches. Hills dominated at No. 1 singles, posting a 6-0, 6-2 victory, while Kane added a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 2. McGlenn earned a hard-fought 6-3, 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles.
McCullough continued the Vikings' strong showing with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5, and Rachael Pofahl closed out the day with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 6. Ripon claimed the No. 4 singles match, but Lawrence's overall depth proved too much as the Vikings secured the 6-1 team victory.
