WAUKESHA, Wis. — Lawrence University secured a 9-5 victory over Carroll University on Wednesday, with a balanced offensive effort that included six assists on nine goals. Despite the Pioneers' three power-play goals, the Vikings maintained control throughout, aided by winning half of the faceoffs and a strong clearing game, converting 15 of 18 attempts.
The match commenced with Lawrence asserting early control, winning the initial faceoff and establishing momentum. Eamon Tegenfeldt-Pfo opened the scoring with a goal at 11:46, assisted by
Robbie Spielmann. The Vikings maintained their advantage with
Henry Fischer and
Joe McCabe each adding goals, pushing the lead to 3-0. Despite a late goal by Carroll's Zach Szuba, the period ended with Lawrence ahead 3-1.
Lawrence capitalized on key opportunities in the second quarter, extending its lead.
Judah Goehring scored at 10:14, marking his third goal of the season. Later, Fischer, assisted by Goehring, added another goal at 3:09, pushing Lawrence further ahead. Despite Carroll's goal by Brady Conwell at 2:03, the Vikings maintained control, finishing the quarter with a 5-2 advantage.

However, the Vikings responded quickly when Tegenfeldt-Pfo scored his second goal of the season at the 32-second mark, ensuring the period ended with both teams adding one goal each. Lawrence began the fourth quarter by winning the faceoff and maintained possession, though an early turnover occurred. At 12:44, Fischer scored, assisted by
Brody Herr, extending Lawrence's lead. Despite a penalty resulting in a man-up goal for Carroll, the Vikings responded as Goehring found the back of the net at 9:29, with assistance from Spielmann. Fischer added another goal at 6:24, assisted by
