TACOMA, Wash. – The Lawrence University women's lacrosse team competed throughout but fell 18-3 to Puget Sound on Saturday afternoon.
Lawrence got on the board early with a first-quarter goal from Annika Solberg. Evelyn Pryadkin added a second-quarter goal off an assist from Mackenzie Igel-Harri, and Sophia Labrecque scored on a free-position opportunity in the third quarter.
Defensively, Lawrence saw strong efforts in goal from Neva Mertsching and Emma Berg, who combined for seven saves while facing a high volume of shots.
The Vikings also battled on the ground, collecting 12 ground balls and competing in key possession areas throughout the game.
Despite facing a strong Puget Sound offense, Lawrence continued to compete across all four quarters, showing determination and growth in a challenging road matchup.
